1. Rhetorical Situation Analyzer
- WRITER — Who is the author of this text? What do you know about their background, expertise, or perspective?
- AUDIENCE — Who is this text written for? What assumptions does the writer make about what the audience already knows?
- PURPOSE — What does the writer want the audience to know, believe, or do after reading? Is the purpose informative, persuasive, or analytical?
- GENRE — What kind of text is this (article, essay, video, novel)? What conventions of that genre do you see?
- CONTEXT — When and where was this created? What event or problem prompted it? Why does timing matter?
